Studio Ghibli

Studio Ghibli's fantastic films feature traditional, hand-drawn animation and often times plots with young female leads, aviation and unique creatures. Wildly popular in Japan, Studio Ghibli still holds its own in the U.S. with five films receiving Academy Award nominations and "Spirited Away" winning Best Animated Feature Film in 2003. This list presents the Studio Ghibli films in order of release with some trivia you may or not have known in the annotations. Currently only one film, "Only Yesterday," is missing from our collection due to its non-US DVD release. Additional resources related to Studio Ghibli can be found at the bottom.
