I give this movie a 3 out of five. This movie is based on the book Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon, I found that the book really didn't follow that storyline and left many important parts out. Many of the people liked this movie whereas me not really I had read the book before it came out and I loved it. I found this movie to be a huge flop and it dint show the characters how I felt like they should be portrayed. they should have left more into the movie about how much Maddy did like him. Many of the actors in this movie were fantastic and played the parts to their best. In the end, the movie did portray a good moral and had a nice simplistic concept. I don't know if it was just me, or if I had high expectations for this movie, and it turned out to be a flop. I felt as though this movie was rushed and needed to build up more suspense in their movies. As I said before I felt as though many important parts were missing, like what happened to her disease we learn about it in the end but it just doesn't show what happened to her. This movie did have some sweet and good parts and I say a good job, but I wish they would have added more to the movie. I don't recommend to anyone simply because I just didn't like the movie, but my point of view could be different than yours. @Icecream of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board Everything, everything, is a sweet movie about a girl, Maddy (Amandla Stenberg) who has a disease called severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) which is that she is unable to leave her house which is hermetically-sealed. She has a crush on her next-door neighbour Olly (Nick Robinson) which eventually turns into a relationship through texting, and when he finds out about her disease, he tries his best to let live her live just like everyone else because he believes that she deserves it. Olly takes her on a little trip and they have a great time. I rate this movie a 4 out of 5. @BirdieBooks of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board This romantic drama film is about a girl who is now eighteen, but still unable to leave her home due to a severe illness that traps her inside. What draws her outside more than anything, however, is her desire to see her neighbour Olly, who she is absolutely in love with. Being someone who has read the book that this was based on, I was very disappointed by the lack of emotion and drive that was meant to fuel the characters, and how many little details seemed to have been overlooked. I would rate this movie 3/5 stars and recommend it to those who like heart-wrenching romantic teenage films @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board Maddy is 18 years old. She has an illness which prevents her from interacting with the outside world. Her life is an endless train of restriction and dullness until she meets Olly, the boy who just moved in next door. The movie shows the journey that was taken to overcome obstacles and to achieve what might have seemed so impossible in the beginning. In addition, the movie Everything, Everything was quite true to the book which is relieving for those readers out there. It is a simple, innocent and sweet love story that many will enjoy. As well, the actors and actresses depicted their characters very well. I must admit, the movie was not the most action-packed so it may seem tedious at points. Lastly, Everything, Everything may not be fitting for all viewers due to some thematic elements. Overall, Everything, Everything was a good movie if you are looking for a lighthearted drama/romance story. Rate 3.5/5 stars. @ReadingIceCream of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
