Starts strong. The story is about a rape/murder that intersects with an inter-agency task force investigation post-9/11 of a mosque in LA where a sleeper cell is thought to be operating. The cast is A-list, led by the always super Chiwetel Ejiofor. But the last one-third of film bogs down in the usual suspense/thriller hokum. Instead of the usual battle-to-the-death-in-an-abandoned-factory scene, there is the switchback ending. The conclusion actually conceals a trapdoor, the improbability of which undercuts the previous 100 minutes. All in all like a really good made-for-TV movie. The scene of Nicole Kidman interrogating the villain is quite good.
