Trapped by Michael Northpop is about a group of high school kids who stay after school one afternoon, all for different reasons. Outside, snow keeps falling, and the world on the other side of the window becomes completely white. It's more snow then any of them have any seen before, and the seven kids soon realize that their parents wouldn't be able to come pick them up any time soon. In fact, no one would be able to get to the school due to the extraordinary amount of snow. Scotty and his friends are among these seven kids, who quickly need to learn how to survive in an empty school. They start worrying about things they never needed to worry about before, like if they'll have enough food and water, and if it will be too cold to stay alive. These kids run into problem after problem, and the snow just keeps coming, even after days, and they start to wonder if they'll ever step foot outside the school again. I think that Trapped is a great book. The author never seems to run out of ideas and it's all very entertaining to read. Also, the characters are very well put together, and they act and talk just like real teenagers would, unlike some other books I've read. People who are looking for something quick and easy but also fun to read, should definitely consider checking out this book. In conclusion, I think that Trapped by Michael Northpop is a fantastic novel and it deserves to be on every bookshelf.
