I am an absolute fan of WW2 books. I’ve read many WW2 romances and this book definitely holds up to be one of the best. The setting of the book is during 1941 and starts off with Lina and her family being pulled away from their Lithuanian home. Her father gets sent to a prison camp, so she has to figure out what to do for her family. But she meets a boy and that’s when things change. This book is a heart aching book. The romance is amazing. I can almost relate it to a book called “ Wait for me” by Caroline Leech, it has such high detail of suspense and ephiany so you don’t know what’s coming. 4/5 Stars. @momo of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board
