Speaking only for myself here - I think that I Dream Of Jeannie has got to be one of the lamest and most irksome TV Sit-Coms of the entire 1960s, bar none._____ It's not so much this show's general premise (which amounts to being nothing but a one-note, sexist joke) that irks me off so much. No. It's this show's 2 main characters, Jeannie, the genie, and Tony Nelson, the astronaut, and their absolutely deplorable interaction between each other that literally grates on my nerves._____ There's just so much tiresome and repetitive squabbling, and downright pettiness, and tedious jealous-anger going on between Tony & Jeannie that my only wish is for Tony to (once and for all) cork Jeannie back up in her little bottle and just throw this clinging, sulking, meddlesome nuisance-of-a-genie back into the deep. blue sea._____ I honestly cannot believe that this totally unfunny TV series actually lasted for 5 seasons._____ Boy, I'm tellin' you, back in those days of yesteryear, the TV audience must've been really starving for some laughs 'cause, when it comes to humor, this show scrapes the absolute bottom of the barrel. Indeed, it does.
