This omnibus edition contains 2 complete novels, Cetaganda and Ethan of Athos, and a novella, Labyrinth. While these are reprints, the stories are in chronological order and the author's usual excellence makes reading them again worthwhile. Science Fiction gives authors a chance for social commentary by showing humans in all their ornery glory in a setting far different from our present world, where technology has solved problems we assume to be insurmountable. Ethan of Athos not only examines the premise of an all-male planet, made possible by uterine replicators which makes females unnecessary but a socio/economic system based on real merit instead of money where each is rewarded according to his contributions, an interesting concept in America's "Bottom-Line" mentality-based society. All this is just background material for the author's usual break-neck paced action, comfortably plausible technology and wonderful humor... Enjoy!
