This is a very good book! I love it and it was really funny. I would recommend young readers from grades 8 and under to have a read of this miraculous book. It was very inspiring and I felt amazed at how Nick Allen created his own word. Not only that, but it was even prohibited in the dictionary as well. Later on, he became rich and was known worldwide. It was interesting as well how he tried to avert the classroom homework from Ms. Granger, but she fought back as well to try to punish him. - @redninam of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library Nick Allen was my favourite character as a kid, because what fifth grader doesn’t love to read about troublemakers? Clements brings that rare infusion of meaningful lessons and loads of fun in this novel. With his sixth sense for homework, Nick always manages to create a diversion or distraction to ensure he doesn’t have to do the work… until he meets a dictionary-loving teacher who plows right over his abilities. Typical Nick takes the matter into his own hands by changing the dictionary word of ‘pen’ to ‘frindle’, and becomes a sensation. Now that I think back to it, it was rather unrealistic, but it is loads of suspense packed fun that will delight the younger audience! - @jewelreader of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
