I read the e-book version. I did not care for it. I know it was the first of a series so maybe the later ones will be better but I won't read them. Maybe it was the translation but as in many cases, the wording seemed very strict or harsh or something. Plus, the story was just confusing to me. The ending was never really explained. Also, for some reason, the author chose to use "G** d*** way more than was even remotely necessary, if in fact it is EVER necessary. And I don't mean "gosh darn". Surely the author is intelligent enough to find some other word to use if she needs to make an emphatic statement. I will not be reading anything else from this author.

It is OK, but nothing special It is a police procedural set in Denmark. I felt that the writing was not that good. I gave it a rating of 2 stars.

First book in the "Louise Rick/Camilla Lind" series. I enjoyed the characters and the mystery, though I did figure out "who done it" for the major murders... I am always happy to find a new series and will definitely read more books in this Danish series. Highly recommend!! Kristi & Abby Tabby
