This movie follows a character named Dax, who's a basketball coach and wants to win the tournament at Rucker Park. However, after running into his longtime rival named Mookie, he encounters an array of obstacles along with recalling past demons he must overcome. The movie features many basketball stars, for example, Kyrie Irving and Shaquille O'Neal, but not all of them are great actors since that's not their primary profession. Despite that, many of them impressed me with their performances. What I liked best about the movie was that it had some funny jokes and a lot of basketball references that most fans would understand. However, aspects of the film I didn't like was the use of explicit language, and at specific parts of the movie, the script seemed lackluster. I would highly recommend the film for people who enjoy watching basketball, specifically the NBA, because that's the audience it looks to target. Although, I would say it's not a movie that young children should watch since it's rated PG-13. I would personally rate this movie a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Funny how a sport invented by a Canadian got to this point in the American timeline. They should have a real geriatric basketball league. Maybe even ones for football and hockey also. It did the old geezers in this film some good, so who knows...

I had a few good laughs and also got the basketball references. It's certainly nothing new. Imagine if "Space Jam" had a baby with "Good Will Hunting." (My God, that sounds ridiculous!) If you don't watch basketball, you may not get some references, but it's still got some decent comedy for everyone.

I'd recommend it as a family film though certainly there are MANY sexual innuendos, which I was surprised about considering it felt like a kid's film. Irving could be an actor, I think, as well as many others in the movie, so that was a relief. Just remember "DON'T SLAM DUNK THE BABY!"

This was just a really fun movie. I loved it and enjoyed the pop references.

I could not watch it. Just awful.

I really liked this movie, but its more for ballers than people who just want to laugh.

The premise is simple, the jokes are overdone and stale and it is a waste of Tiffany Haddish and Rel's talent.
