Margaret Jacobsen is just about to step into the bright future she's worked for so hard and so long: a new dream job, a fiancé she adores, and the promise of a picture-perfect life just around the corner. Then, suddenly, on what should have been one of the happiest days of her life, everything she worked for is taken away in a brief, tumultuous moment. In the hospital and forced to face the possibility that nothing will ever be the same again, Maggie must confront the unthinkable. First there is her fiancé, Chip, who wallows in self-pity while simultaneously expecting to be forgiven. Then, there's her sister Kit, who shows up after pulling a three-year vanishing act. Finally, there's Ian, her physical therapist, the one the nurses said was too tough for her. Ian, who won't let her give in to her pity, and who sees her like no one has seen her before. Sometimes the last thing you want is the one thing you need. Sometimes we all need someone to catch us when we fall. And sometimes love can find us in the least likely place we would ever expect.

What a great book. Was hard to put down. Especially loved the way she used the tragedy to show there's life after such a life changing event. Kit was a good character to bring her along.
I look forward to reading other books by this author.

Loved this book. Great development of the characters and great story. Easy read that kept me entertained without being sappy. I told my husband about it and now he's listening to the audio book and enjoying it as well :)

Margaret's life is forever changed after her almost pilot boyfriend crashes their "engagement flight" and leaves her life forever changed. Center incorporates often used themes like accidents, tests of relationships, falling in love with one's therapist.....However, in this story Center pulls the reader in with ever-so-tugging situations of humanity, despair, and love.
I found it moving and ultimately hard to put down.

Despite some heavy subject matter, the humor, lighthearted moments and hopeful characters make this a pleasant read.

Interesting look at dealing with adversity and making the most of your life no matter what happens to you.

Katherine Centre writes very readable books. I have read them all, and look forward to each new selection.
This was a quick read. You will definitely be pulling for Margaret in her journey.
