Paul has always known he was a Protector, fated to serve a Speaker who could hear the voices of spirits lingering after death and help those souls find peace. Vivienne never listens to the voices of the dead. Paul has always followed the Protector's rule book, preparing diligently for the day when he'd be matched with his Speaker and fulfill his destiny. Vivienne never does what she's told. So when Paul is matched with Vivienne, they both find the pairing less than satisfactory. But a kidnapping, a malevolent spirit and a power stronger than both of them may just prove that they are two halves of the same whole.

It was somewhat on the same level as Shattered Souls. This one was a little less intimate a little more rushed. So many olds clashing with the news it was a bit confusing at first. In addition, it just wasn't you know the same oomph. Everything seems to lay flat like BOOM! that's that and there's nothing to change that. It just seemed more action based rather than intimate and personal like Shattered Souls. There was no base no foundation because these are completely two different people, a different pair. The love wasn't old and timeless like Alden and Lenzi. It was fresh, a bit too unpredictIble, raw. It might not appeal to some who read this book

The latest installment in the Selection series does not disappoint. It is set twenty years after the last selection, with many changes to the beloved world that Kiera Cass has created. The big problem is that Maxon got rid of the castes, but people still cling to them and their stability. In order to appease the public, Maxon and America decide that their best course of action is to hold a selection. This will be unlike any other selection that Illea has ever seen. When Eadlyn was born, seven minutes before her twin brother Ahren, she was declared heir to the throne, making her the first ever true Queen. The boys are due to arrive and the stubborn Eadlyn has a cornacopia of plots up her sleeve to rid her house of them for good. But, will her plan work, or will she really fall in love like her parents did twenty years ago? Read Kiera Cass' newest book, titled "The Heir" to find out how this unique selection will go down.
