What an absolute piece of garbage cinema. They wasted such good opportunities on this mess of a film.

The bird creatures (Porgs) were cute. The acting was alright. The directing was choppy and lacked the Star Wars essence.

Three and a half stars - the lowest I have ever rated a Star Wars movie. This movie broke my heart.

I went to see this movie on the day after it came out. Here’s what I have to say about it:
The storyline was good, and the acting was amazing!
The only thing that wasn’t quite right was the humour.
It was still funny, it’s just that it didn’t seem to fit with the whole Star Wars idea.
However, it was still a good movie, and I give Star Wars The Last Jedi a rating of 9/10, and an age rating of 11 and up.

This was a pretty good movie and that says a lot, me not being a fan of Star Wars movies. I decided to watch the movie from all the hype when it was in theaters and was very pleased. Great story line with great actors made the movie come alive for me. However, I am only watching the series with Rey as the lead character.

Star Wars is expanding with new storylines and new characters and frankly it has to.
JJ Abrams is doing a great job. A bit sad the old characters are slowly leaving but excited the Rey and Kylo Ren characters are moving into the new storyline. It's been 41 years since the first Star Wars and it's still going strong. No doubt there will be another 41 years of rebellion with everybody speaking English accents.

I was in my early 20s when the first SW came out so it's a bit disconcerting to see characters/actors from that film die in reel or real life (RIP, Carrie F). I know today's audience most likely goes to sequels for the blockbuster effects (all well and good), but I'm still drawn to the mythic elements. Part legend, part Shakespearian tragedy (Daddy issues
galore), part American West tradition, part Biblical history, there is a reason these movies resound for so many and for so long. Not to be too highfaluting about it, but the themes embedded in Star Wars movies are in our collective DNA.

This movie is extremely bad and slow. It has lost all the charisma of the original Star War movies. With the 2 original Star War stars did not help at all. I stop watching after 30 mins.
