Personally as a young reader this book does not include any "peril" and is probably one of my favorite books. I really did enjoy reading this book, it is a touching story full of emotion.

This retelling of a couple different fairy tales is cute and touching. Readers are given two different female characters, sisters Rose and Snow, both of whom are interesting heroines to root for. The amount of peril in the story might be a bit much for younger readers, but it is brief. This might be a good one to read together. The illustrations are enjoyable too.

Cute take on the old fairy tale.

Beautifully written adaptation of the lesser known Snow White and Rose Red fairy tale. Growing up, Snow White and Rose Red was my favorite fairy tale. Hopefully this enchanting adaptation will introduce it to a new generation of children.

Beautiful story, lovely illustrations. Gentle but not sugary, this would be a wonderful read a loud.

A lovely retelling of the classic tale of Snow White and Rose Red. Very reminiscent of Kate Seredy.

I highly recommend this to fans of fairy tales. It is a great example of a fairly simple classic tale retold and expanded in a way that remains true to the original. Also, IT IS SO PRETTY!!!
