This novel is the sequel to John Hart's "The Last Child". The main characters are the same in the previous novel, except of course older. The story is fast paced and suspenseful. Enough backround information is given by the author, so the reader can easily follow the story without having read Hart's prior novel first. I must say I enjoyed "The Last Child" more, only because I found elements in "The Hush" a bit far fetched.
