This book is so touching and very heartwarming. It reminds us that we have to live to our fullest in every day.

This book was honestly so emotional and inspiring! One of the best books I've ever read. This was a beautiful book about a girl named Jessica whose dream was to be a runner. She was an amazing athlete and hoped to run marathons from all over the world. Unfortunately, her dream was shattered in a heartbeat. A bus accident took away what she loved most. Her leg. That was it. She couldn't walk or move, let alone run. Jessica was told that she would need a prosthetic. Her parents were overjoyed, but Jessica thought that her life was over. She was frustrated at many times throughout the book, and she just wanted to quit. Every time she got those thoughts, she would be in her running dream. This was just at home. At school, she was the center of attention. Sometimes in a good way, and sometimes in a bad way. Jessica had no idea how she could cope with her new life, until she met Rosa, a girl with CP. The girl was helping her with math at first, but Jessica saw the other side of her. Not the side that people called abnormal, but the side that she kept hidden. Jessica starts getting the hang of her new life with the help of her parents, who were always by her side, and her supportive friends. This was a very inspiring and lovely book and I certainly recommend everyone to read this book. Rating- 5/5 @Vanilla of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

A story about a teen who lost her leg in an accident, thought she would never run again, but in the process found more than she imagined. Definitely worth the read!

Violet_Cat_29 is wrong about it being a true story. This is a fiction book, and a great read.

Great book! Very inspiring and motivational. Demonstrates what you can do if you set your mind to it (the fundraiser and jessica's training at the end). I loved it!

This is a pretty good book. It shows just what you can do if you don't give up and feel sorry for yourself.

I am a runner and reading this book showed me how lucky I am.

The Running Dream is about Jessica, a runner on her high school track team. She is in an accident and loses her leg. She is able to get a prosthetic leg, but isn't able to run as well as she did before. Jessica learns a lot about life and about overcoming obstacles through her recovery. This book is very inspiring.

The Running Dream: Amazing book! The story really touched my heart. I can never believe that happening to me.

Jessica was riding the bus and the bus crashed. It left a person that Jessica knew dead and herself injured. She loved to run but now couldn't. Luckily, she got a prosthetic leg. This book tells the story of how Jessica overcame the fact that she couldn't run and how she lived happily ever after.

“It's disturbing how fast weeds take root in my garden of worthiness.
They're so hard to pull.
And grow back so easily.”

I ran everywhere. Raced everyone. I loved the wind across my cheeks, through my hair. Running aired out my soul. It made me feel ALIVE. And now? I'm stuck in this bed, knowing I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO RUN AGAIN.

" Today I Ran my friend ten miles across her first finish line. Eight months ago I couldn't do anything. This race has made me believe that there's nothing i can't do. This is my new starting line."

This book is about a girl named Jessica who is in an accident on a school bus coming home from a track meet. One of her legs is so badly injured that it needs to be amputated below the knee. This book describes how she struggles to get back to a "normal life" with a prosthetic leg, and being viewed by some as having a disability. Jessica's math teacher makes her sit in the back with another girl in a wheelchair, whose name is Rosa. Rosa has had cerebral palsy since she was a child. The two become best friends. Just walking again isn't Jessica's only goal; she wants to run. She takes Rosa along with her on her journey to run because Rosa has never and will never run or experience that feeling. Overall, it was an amazing book. I loved it!

This Book can really inspire and show you, most people are very lucky. people don't realize how lucky we all are.
