There should be a new category called "fantasy thrillers" where the main character has these indispensable side kicks:
1. Assistant with CIA level hacking skills and state of the art tech tools
2. A civil servant who doesn't mind doing multiple illegal record searches
3. A kind-hearted mafia member who has encyclopedic knowlege of the bad guys
4. A highly placed government official who sings like a canary

All the protagonist has to do is guess what info these fairy godpeople can supply to him, use his unlimited credit cards and be charming.

Formulaic and predictable, don't bother.

A good plot with the usual twists. I've enjoyed other Finder's books more than this one. I would, however, recommend it to Finder fans.

Nick Heller is like "Jack Reacher Lite".

Finder keeps getting better and better, he appears to be that rare fiction author who keeps evolving. It opens with the main character meeting his client, a Vernon Jordan-like character, and the twists and turns keep coming. Very topical fiction!
