I was a little confused when I put the book on hold about whether these were general Christmas / holiday ideas or specifically for an ugly Christmas sweater party; it’s for the latter and a lot of the projects don’t seem like they would carry over as general Christmas / holiday projects (but all of this might just be my opinion and not everybody else’s). It is divided into sections (food & drink; hideous projects; ugly apparel; getting’ ugly games; labels, invites & awards). The book also has two pages in the back with the abbreviations used for the knitting and crochet projects (it looks like they did convert the British crochet terms to American crochet), as well as conversion charts for Celsius to Fahrenheit and metric to imperial (American). It tries to give conversions by weight (e.g., 1 tablespoon equals 15 grams), but (having cooked with British recipes), it doesn’t work like that because different ingredients don’t all have the same density, but since the recipes use a lot of pre-made ingredients (pizza dough, store-bought brownie bites) and also cake mixes, it shouldn’t be a problem. All of the beverages are alcoholic. The book also assumes that you have crochet and knitting experience, including colorwork (there aren't instructions with the knitting on whether to use intarsia or stranded; both could work).
