This is my favorite Britt Nicole cd! Each song has a good beat and the lyrics are meaningful and fun to sing along to.
4th album from Christian music's top diva! The album comes four years after 2012's hit "Gold". The album is more mainstream than Britt's earlier work with a plethora of love songs (Britt clearly really loves her hubby). The more secular tone might be a put-off to some fans, but Britt's irresistible positivity (and love for God) still shines through in this album. In terms of music, the album is creative and diverse.
After You: one of the more explicitly religious songs on the album. It's a painfully beautiful ballad about the emptiness of the world and the need for God. The song plays down pop sounds to allow Britt's voice to wow with obvious emotion.
All Day: Thoughtful ballad about the pain working mother's feel. It's instantly relatable and has a fresh subject matter. The authenticity of Britt's vocals (mother of two young children) strength the song's impact.
No Filter: Arguably the strongest love song on the album. It explores the need for authenticity in a world of "beautiful" and false filters. Again, the sounds are gentle, allowing Britt to pour out her soul.
All the Money and Pave are fun you've-got-to-dance pop songs while Girls Night Out is ridiculously absurd (and fun). Better, Be the Change, and Work of Art tackle more serious issues with masterful pop. The one disappointment just might be the album's single Through Your Eyes. The sounds are great, but the overall concept of the song is rather cliche. However, this is certainly an exceptional album by an exceptional artist!
