One of the best Star Wars graphic novels out there.

Vader's the Godzilla of this tale, an unstoppable menace who draws all the characters into his orbit. But Leia's a close second in the 'unstoppable' category.

Loved it, I'm a huge Vader fan and I think this is a great waay to tell how hopeless it seemed.

If you want to see the Vader that was only hinted at in the movies - which is saying much - read this book and every other book Marvel has put out as of late with Vader. You won't regret it.

A crossover between the two Star Wars ongoing titles, this finds the Dark Lord of the Sith brought down on a remote planet, with a legion of Rebel troops eager to put an end to him once and for all, and the usual suspects into the mix along the way. The tone of the story varies along the way, what with having different creative teams involved, but also shows Vader at his most dangerous, when he's cornered.

This was a mess of a trade paperback. Marvel took several of its Star Wars comics series and made a crossover event. However, the artwork is static and awkward (though better figure and starship work than many of the recent Dark Horse series). You can tell digital painting was heavily relied upon by the artists. The story is a mess, and the panels are poorly composed, leaving the action scenes very confused. Worst of all, the Marvel Star Wars treatment-- treating Darth Vader and the other Imperial bad guys like super-villains rather than space opera villains, is way overplayed.
