Walt Disney visited New York in an attempt to secure a deal for his company, but failed. On a train ride back with his wife Lillian Disney he created the concept of a mouse named Mortimer, which would become Mickey Mouse. Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Walt Disney gave the draft to Ub Iwerks who then completed the design for Mickey Mouse.

Found this a tad slow. Somehow they could have summarized all the trouble and failures so as to reduce the repetitive nature of much of the film. However the film can be watched in fast forward with the subtitles on. If you are a fast reader, you can zip through at least some of it and cut it down to about an hour, which is probably the length it should have been. The ending was interesting with the bios of the art team and family.

Excellent movie. Walt Disney faced many obstacles in his early life being an animator. This movie deals with this period in his life before he created Mickey mouse. Great acting, and a good script made this entertaining viewing.
