Add a CommentWhat an enjoyable book! I was genuinely interested in improving my own skin and was looking for tips I could use right away. That’s exactly what I found! I enjoyed the stories the author shared which extended beyond skincare and into Korean culture. A quick, cute-read, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to get motivated to practice a daily skincare routine (and perhaps learn something new about Koreans). I have noticed a vast improvement to my own skin after following some of the author’s recommendations. The book also contains cute illustrations that go along with the book’s content.
An adorable story of the author's experience moving from California to Korea and discovering the more-than-skin deep beauty of her heritage. It is intertwined with the Korean skin care culture/practices, but is more cute and introductory than in-depth.
A great beginners guide to the world of Korean skin care products!
I've been casually interested in K-Beauty for years, but it's been only recently my interest has become a full-blown obsession. If you want to take control of your skin care regimen, if you want to establish a routine, or if you're just curious about how the actors in your fav K-Drama get such perfect skin; this little book is a perfect place to start.
Clever marketing. I learned something new and it was fun to read. Good for Charlotte, the author, to launch her own business and to promote it through this book.
Fun quick read, but most of the skincare information in the book is freely available on Cho's (Soko Glam) and other Korean beauty websites, blogs, and articles.
Product placement aside, this is a detailed initiation into Korean skin care. The ten-step regimen outlined in this book has changed the condition of my previously (!!) dry and acne-prone skin after only a few weeks. Gemma Correll's charming illustrations add to the appeal.
