As a TV producer and host of the smash late night show Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen has a front row seat to an exciting world not many get to see. In this dishy, detailed diary of one year in his life, Andy goes out on the town, drops names, hosts a ton of shows, becomes codependent with Real Housewives, makes trouble, calls his mom, drops some more names, and, while searching for love, finds it with a dog.
I really loved Andy. I actually never watched him on his night show before so listening to this was really educational for me. I found him to be quite positive in fact I'd compare this audio book to one Drew Barrymore put out.
The subtitle, A Deep Look at a Shallow Year, pretty much sums up this book. Cohen's diary basically consists of going to the gym, eating fattening foods he shouldn't, partying, and chasing after his next guests. It's a good reminder that 2-year-old gossip is meaningless.
I loved this audiobook. It made the hours at work fly by. You really aren't going to learn anything juicy since he doesn't give specific names, but he does give hints as to whom he is talking about. Its ready by the author and I really enjoy Andy's personality, so that helps when listening to the CD's. He's got an interesting life and the love for his dog is the most adoring thing about this book. If you are annoyed by owners who LOVE their dogs, you may be easily annoyed with this book. Otherwise, its Marley and Me light when it's not about his pursuit of a man.

Entertaining and fun to get to know Andy a little better.
