This book was, in summarized form, a bit weird. Then again, I read this in grade four which is more than a couple of years ago now. So I believe that the first book was the prequel to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, or an idea of it. Then this book would be the sequel to the prequel, but not yet at the actual Frankenstein book. But the plot just gets a lot more sinister and frightening. I eventually finished this book, but with a very confused and disorganized process overview. Now, I have a copy of this book, but I really don't know why. I am also a bit confused with what happened after this book. Is there another book before Mary Shelley's? Or does this book just branch off like a potential book Oppel could write? This is really just a confusing mess. 3.5/5 stars.

I really liked this book .But it is kind of non logic. Through the beginning i thought that victor should open that window after they found out Analiese never worked there .

I really like this book because it's really adventurous and it's a book that I can't put down! I would rate this book 5 out of 5!

I loved the book Such Wicked Intent it was creative, entertaining and very descriptive. I have always been into teen - fantasy and I read the first book "This Dark Endeavour", so I had a good understanding of the book. I would recommend Such Wicked Intent to avid readers.

I loved it. At the beginning, it made me eager to keep reading; it was interesting, and at the same time didn't give too much away. As I kept reading, it gave hints at what was going on and soon it was full of action. It was never too hard to follow, either. I thought it was a great story, and I would definitely recommend it to avid readers.

It was definitely not as good as the first book. Needless to say, it was still a very good read.

I think I liked this one more than the first. It has more supernatural elements, and the characters are more complex and mature. We really see the dark side of Victor's character come out as he delves deeper into his obsession with knowledge and power. This is a fantastic book.

What a great read! I liked the balance between the two worlds and the different situations the characters were put it. I could not put the book down, lots of twists and turns.

An amazing read, Kenneth Oppel's done it again. It's so CREEPY though! I literally jumped whenever I heard someone move. (In the real world.) OMG, I couldn't put it down until I was finished. Like, not even to go to the bathroom. Okay, don't read this, go read Such Wicked Intent!

Book Two of Kenneth Oppel's prequel series "The Apprenticeship of Victor Frankenstein" continues to entertain. The main characters are all teens - but are experiencing situations well beyond the norm - talking to the dead, battling spirits and translating Latin! I was pleased that I never knew what was coming next. Looking forward to Book Three.
