In a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts, the tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks of three underpaid employees play out in the empty aisles, becoming more gripping than the lackluster, second-run movies on screen.

This play is so fun to read - the dialog moves so fast and the characters are so vivid - that it's like reading a short novel. The stage directions/action are minimal and don't distract. I read about this play in The New Yorker when it was being performed Off-Broadway and was sad not to be able to see it - reading this is the next best thing until a theater company performs it here!
