Patterson is nothing if not consistent if you like his work this is an excellent book it's a fast read fast-paced always interesting
Very disappointed with this one. Story lines lacked focus and were hard to follow.
Disappointed - the book lacked something - still OK but could have been much better.
I've enjoyed all the Private series,
this is just other good one.
Okay to pass an evening with. I don't expect more than a lightweight, quick read from this author, and I like to read such books after reading something more complex to give my mind a rest. Kind of like eating a cupcake after a roast beef dinner.
After awhile Patterson becomes redundant. I think I keep getting his books because they're easy reads and free at the library. His books are ok but nothing really new or earth shattering. Patterson seems pretty superficial. The serial killer is described as "piss ugly" at one point and of course those who work at Private are drop dead gorgeous or drive ritzy cars. In other books, Patterson has characters eating foie gras which is made by shoving food down the throats of ducks to the point that their liver all but explodes. I've come to like Patterson and his primadonna characters less and less. Maybe this is what happens when you churn out book after book after book. A vanilla product.
