I found this DVD to be mostly suited to a younger audience although it is not in the J FIC category.

I was expecting something more along the lines of Heartland - which I consider asa family movie with interest to a variety of age groups.

This sounded like a cute family movie, but we were really disappointed. The plot was sort of a Cinderella on the ranch storyline, which was great, but in-between each acting spot, was a long break which featured nature/forest/lake panoramas, or Juliet riding her horse; some of these didn't even make sense to the plot! It was like they started to film the movie, but the actors quit part way through, so they needed to fill the time with something. We ended up fast forwarding through these and the actually acting parts probably totalled 30-40 minutes. Family friendly movie--actually safe for even preschoolers, but they would probably be bored. For horse fans, for sure. But a big "nay" from my family.
