This book was referenced in a Slate column by Nicholas Day, 12/08/14. Copied from Food52 -- both reliably good sources -- he chose the so-far-only-one recipe that impressed me, a cabbage sausage and apples choucroute. Cooks Illustrated has one of the few slow cooker books that is worth reading. I'll revise this if something else comes up unexpectedly delish.
