I remember standing in line at a bank listening to Start Me Up on the low volume sound system....Mick screaming about making a "dead man come" while everyone went about their business. Funny juxtaposition. I wisely decided not to share this moment with the teller.

WAITING ON A FRIEND is one of the saddest songs i ever heard. sorta learned how to play it back in the day, except when it came to the third chord change. STOP YOUR SOBBING was on that mix tape, too. START ME UP is one of the most obscene songs i've ever heard( listen intently toward the end of the song)...don't make a dead man--what?? BLACK LIMOUSINE makes me ball up my figurative fists in fury, yet i have read this album is a collection of songs recorded several years, before this was released. what a coincidence, if true. mick blows his harp like a demented bobby zimmerman, on the BLACK LIMO song. or maybe they just had precognition, those years before. wishful thinking on their part? but ono, we get fed the 'collection of unrelated singles, from years ago' line, and we're supposed to believe it? this one's the one that shoulda been called VOODOO LOUNGE.
