"With tears running down her face, Cecily had reminded him of the moment at her wedding to Gabriel when he had delivered a beautiful speech praising the groom, at the end of which he had announced, “Dear God, I thought she was marrying Gideon. I take it all back,”" Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Princess
Our hearts, they need a mirror, Tessa. We see our better selves in the eyes of those who love us.
There are so many things worse than death. Not to be loved or not to be able to love: that is worse.
No one can say that death in me a willing comrade, or that I went easily.

Perfect ending to an amazing trilogy, I actually cried more than once while reading it.
A absolutely wonderful series. I could not put them down. The connection with the characters from the "original" make this so much better. You get to find out some much about where it all started and how things impact the future with out you knowing
This book made my emotions go up and down. I really liked how Cassandra Clare built up the tension in this book and how she could write in a way that would make you feel like you were that character and you were going through those emotions. I kind of wish there was a bit more of a connection to the mortal Instruments series in the epilogue but other than that this book was amazing. I would recommend this book to people who like romance, violence and fantasy.
Cassandra Clare can write love like an arrow to your heart.
This ending was SO good and SO heartbreaking at the same time. I cried so many times I lost count, especially at the epilogue. In a way, Tessa ends up with both of them. It sounds confusing, but when you read it, it's like the perfect ending except when it fast forwards to the present time of the Mortal Instruments. There were a bit too many poetic lines and soul confessions for me, but I still loved it. I felt so sorry for both Jem and Will.
Loved this series more then the mortal instruments!! Great book, follow up with lady midnight and you won't be disappointed :)
By far, this book is one of the best written by our favourite author, Cassandra Clare. Although I found some parts a bit scattered apart, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this book! We as readers can delve deeper into the stories behind Tessa, Will and Those of the London Institute. But beware, for secrets about our protagonist's past and the reason for her powers will be revealed. However, I felt the ending turned a bit unrealistically. How could they (those above Charlotte in power) all have been blind to the threat of Mortmain and his automatons? But I honestly loved Tessa's final stand, and the way everything worked out. The epilogue was really touching to read as well. 5/5 - @Siri of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
Final book of the series!!!☺😢feeling mixed emotions.....HOLY CRAP!!!! This book was sooo good and the ending was phenom. Will...Jem...Tessa overall Clare is brilliant. Tying it so they ALL have good endings. Magnus and Woolsey....love them and of course Cecily and Will tie for first. I wonder if Tessa is in the Mortal Instruments...would not be surprised. Mortal Instruments here I come!!!😆
It got sad for me there at the end, but overall a good book.
I CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!! This was the perfect (yet bittersweet) conclusion to the Infernal Devices. The characters were all developed really well (TESSA IS BADASS) and I love how much it ties in to the Mortal Instruments and all the characters of that series. I cried and freaked out so many times (in public areas) and I'm pretty sure all of my relatives think I'm insane now BUT IT WAS ALL WORTH IT BECAUSE THIS BOOK WAS PURE INCREDIBLENESS!!!!! See? I even made up a word because this book was so good it deserved it. ('Incredibleness')
