After losing her job at the local factory, single mother France enrolls in a housekeeper training program and lands a job cleaning the apartment of wealthy power broker Steve. When Alban, Steve's 3-year-old son, arrives on the doorstep to stay with his dad, Steve soon realizes he might need more than a cleaner. France realizes she might now have the perfect opportunity for payback against the man who almost single-handedly shut down the factory where she worked.

The movie has some good points in showing the emptiness and ruthless character of a wealthy man. The female protagonist is well presented but the situation she gets into is unlikely.

Easily one of the best movies I've seen this year, and in some ways, in this decade. Watch especially for the chameleon-like Karin Viard, probably the best actress in French cinema today, and perhaps anywhere (yes, you read right). She's already got a very impressive body of work behind her, and she is positively stellar in the lead here.

Woman with 3 kids looses here job and takes a domestic job in Paris. Her boss is a stock trader who doesn't care about anyone but himself. She finds out that he is responsible for her former company's demise and I don't want to spoil the ending you must see it. It is subtitles with some English, and it moves well. Nice little drama for a Sunday afteroon.

It takes the French to do entertaining yet serious films on corporate greed and unemployment due to outsourcing of factories. The other French film of the genre, though more serious, is the 1999 Human Resources.

A hit in the recent 2011 Vancouver Film Fest, it is part The Nanny with a macabre ending. It is worth watching it again on DVD. Entertaining!
