"Best friends Woodrow and Aiden spend all of their free time building Mad Max-inspired flamethrowers and muscle cars in preparation for a global apocalypse. But when Woodrow meets a charismatic young woman and falls hard in love, he and Aiden quickly join a new group of friends, setting off on a journey of love and hate, betrayal, infidelity, and extreme violence more devastating and fiery than any of their apocalyptic fantasies"--Container.

I was just reading some of the other comments below on this movie and I don't think they watched the same BELLFLOWER as I did with my husband....
This movie INSTANTLY became one of our top 10 all-time favorites.
This movie was not only mind-blowing and in your face, screaming with bloody, raised fists...
it also was a gut wrenching and traumatic love story in three different ways.
1.) Boy meets crazy girl
2.) A true-bromance btwn. 2 straight male best friends
3.) Guys(&girls;)) that LOVE their badass cars

* No to mention the MUST SEE behind the scenes disc which will give you a whole other appreciation for the art of film making.{from the ground up with NO FINANCIAL BACKING}*
The Cherry on Top is the amazing soundtrack. Once we heard it on i-tunes, we immediately bought the vinyl copy.
Decide for YOURSELF.....

This is an emotional and psychological mess, disguised as an interesting film with characters i don't care about at all period. The description of what the film is about on the back of the DVD cover bites off way more than it can chew period.By the time this film tries to get turned up in the midst of this bore fest it was too little too late period,BUT I DIGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This movie was terrible. Dumb, Boring and Stupid Waste of time - Waste of Electrical power.
It would be a waste of money to buy. On watchable best describes this movie. I fast forwarded all the way.

...You gotta wonder where people get the money to - first make a movie as stupid and as amateurish as this... even the sex offends! ...then wonder who in their right mind would distribute it? And it also begs the question: To what end? I mean... Why? It's shoddy drama... It 'ain't' a love story - despite protestations to the contrary from the odd fringes of U.S. society (if that's LOVE - then get out the buzz-saw!) And it has no apparent redeeming value...! UGH!

Really wanted to like this film - had lots of potential, & I was intrigued by the trailer and soundtrack.
The friendship between Woodrow & Aiden was solid, the car & Medusa gang were interesting ideas - just wish there was more focus there. At times, the emotions are truly painful and visceral. The film also successfully works up to some very intense scenes. However, I think it tries too hard to be cool - film effects, chapter titles, excessively slacker dialogue / mumbling - with much of it ending up just awkward and boring.

Tough to review, though the director shows a lot of promise. Powerful overall and a mess in parts. Kind of like Cassavetes makes Fight Club.
