This book serves as a basic primer on camera composition for motion pictures. In no way is it a cinematography handbook, but rather a reference book for directors to begin communication with their cinematographer. In most cases the provided illustrations are not thorough enough to adequately show the reader what is intended. This is meant to be counterbalanced by the text describing the camera set up, but these are often very sparse and lacking in details. A good starting place to open up the channels of communication, but nothing more.
