A rather silly movie, with an equally silly plot, and sub-par acting. Holding my nose giving it 2 stars.

Not that entertaining, despite the great cast.

An entertaining romantic crime caper with likable characters though the plot was overly stretched with an imaginative ending that also promised troubling loose ends.

Begins with a dumb premise and proceeds to get dumber and dumber. Conned into driving the getaway car for a bank robbery, Henry (Keanu) doesn't rat on his friends - his what!? - and does time. He then decides to truly rob the bank with the aid of former cellmate wise-quipping James Caan who would prefer to stay in jail. Vera Farmiga, playing a would-be actress (that is not type casting), almost runs over Keanu and they become romantically entangled. Because the access to the bank's vault is through the theatre, Henry who has never acted must become the co-star opposite Farmiga in Chekov's The Cherry Orchard. Uh-huh. SPOILER! The robbery goes sour and is successful at the same time. SPOILER!! THEY GET AWAY WITH MILLIONS -- WHEEEEE! SPOILER!!! Our lame hero gets out of the getaway car and returns to the theater where he lets his lady know he loves her by demolishing Chekov. I read somewehre that it's supposed to be a comedy. That's a laugh

Henry's Crime has a very unbelievable storyline. Henry is in the wrong place at the wrong time and is caught and convicted for a bank robbery that he did not commit. After three years in prison Henry decides to actually rob the bank once he is released. Henry enlists his former cellmate and three other men to help in that endeavor. In the meantime, Henry meets and falls in love with an aspiring actress. Overall the plot is weak and the acting is not much better.

Cool movie! I'm sorry I missed it in the theatres. Keanu Reeves, James Caan, and Vera Farmiga did awesome. Recommend!

Still trying to decide if I liked the film or not. It did keep my interest until the end.

Julie: What were you in prison for, Max?

Max: I was a confidence man.

Julie: You mean a con man?

Max: I um... l don't like that word. Er, "confidence" is a little more elegant. "Confidence" comes from the Greek "fides", meaning faith and belief.

Julie: Greek? I thought it was Latin.

Max: Well, yes, it is... it is now.

Julie: So, essentially, you make people feel good and then you rip 'em off?

Max: Yes. But I was always a little better at the feeling good part than I was with the ripping off part, hence jail
