I came a little late to the party, but I am glad I finally arrived. I found this book very entertaining. I was impressed with the details of not just a world but a universe. So much detail is in the background, with histories and a pre-cog world that is complex but enjoyable to read. I enjoyed it on many levels, and I can only assume that the science is solid, but the action was always first rate.

Theirs is Not ... Book 1

This is the first book in a planned quadrology. I was priveliged enough to see some of the original drafts for this book as it was prepared for publication. Jean, having utilized the popular romance stream as a method of gaining entry to the publishing market, shows that she is as capable a writer in a pure Military Science fiction genre as she is in Paranormal Romance.
This series has been 20 years in the making and is worth every minute spent reading.
Jean shows great depth of respect for the Military who choose to defend our rights and freedoms often at the expense of their own lives. Her reseach is impeccable and I know for a fact that she visited Australia just to help make sure she had her research right.
If you love David Weber and Honor Harrington let me introduce you to Ia and her battle to save the Universe.
