In April of 2003, Oliver Stone returned to Cuba to interview Fidel Castro and ask the hard-hitting questions that Castro has avoided. Included is the provocative conversations between Stone and Castro in which the Cuban leader offers his views about the state of the world, President Bush, the war in Iraq, and other major international issues. Stone's in-depth, tough but fair portrait of this highly controversial world leader helps to illuminate Cuba's unique and complicated place in the world.

Add a CommentDVD not working as of 03/08/2015.. Too bad!
The DVD # is 2722 and unfortunately it is the only copy from what I can see!
This movie was entertaining and interesting but not one of my favorite for this year. “Not too bad---good performance”. "I fast forwarded a lot but not all the way."
Does Castro fancy himself a Cuban Abraham Lincoln? It seems to me like he does. He has accomplished some good things in Cuba, universal and free education and universal and free medical care for all. These are spectacular feats. But at his heart he is a revolutionary and I think he can just not let go of power so easily. On one hand, it is understandable because the US has been trying to undermine him for decades and there is deep distrust there. But as long as Cuba imprisons people for 30 years for having a different opinion, Cuba will always be alone.
I never could watch this. It would not play successfully in either my DVD player or on my computer. That was a copy from the West New Brighton branch.
