I personally did not like this book. I had to force myself to finish it. This book which can be read in a day took me about two weeks just because I dreaded picking it up. The main character did not seem real.

Easy read but very good. Couldn't put this book down and ended up reading it in a day. Loved it!

Beautiful is not.
It is a dark, sad, bleak story of a very young girl with no respect for herself who allows herself to be sucked into a world of sex and drugs in a desire to belong. Being significantly older than the protagonist, it is hard to watch her continue to make rotten choices. I did enjoyed the author's ability to capture the "black or white" nature of the teen mind (especially on drugs). I won't be suggesting this read to my preteen any time soon.

This is the book that results from stepping into the minds of teenagers who live on the fringe, who's parents are alcoholics, not present, or even worse, criminal. Definitely an uncomfortable read, yet keeps you engaged. If you like life and books to be perfect, with seamless endings, then this one isn't for you.

strong book, easy to read, doesn't get boring, kind of disturbing and messed up but it has a pretty deep message. At first I was like what the fudge am I reading, then I was all like oh God... but in the end I cried and.. i really loved the book. I wouldn't recommend it to my family (mostly because they would band me from reading) but maybe my friends.

Sorry, while I finished this book, I can not say that I enjoyed it or recommend it to my friends. Doctor-at-Bass - 2! M. A.

It was a good book that portrays an important message, but I felt that I'd read it before.

I love this book a lot. By far one of the best books I read in a long time.

I found this book very riveting. I couldn't stop reading until I finished and knew that, although she is fictional, Cassie was alright and even though she went through probably one of the toughest times of her life. I wanted to know that Cassie was going to get through and survive Alex. Two thumbs up to Amy Reed for really showing what not only a bad friend can do to you but bad boys and a serious case of peer pressure! One of my favorite reality fiction!
