This was a wonderful book! Debbie Macomber's humorous angelic intervention stories are a must read during the holiday season. The characters are well developed, and the plot keeps the reader interested. The lighthearted Christmas tone gives the reader an inner warmth while reading the story. Mrs. Miracle is certainly a wonderful angel, and her fun, loving personality is beautifully described by Debbie. Also, Holly, Jake, Gabe, and J.R. Finley are sure to entrance the reader. This is a must read!
This was a amazingly great book. I love it so much that I want to buy the book now! I am not a big reader at all. I barely finish any book I start but this book was a good one. I read it one whole day. I really enjoy the book. The book told me that true miracles can happen and gives me hope. If you don't want to read this book because it a Christmas. yes, it has to deal with Christmas. But this might change your mind about Christmas. Anyways don't let the thought of it being a Christmas book let you miss out on a great book. It has to deal with Christmas but it has much more to point out and say. It gives details about life. Again the book told me that there are such thing as true miracles. It gives me hope. It really made me think. There where some problem in the book, that might me stop and think. It give also gives a good lesson to not judge people how they look or act. Because you never know that might turn the opposite, depending on the impact you make on them.
This short novel is set in New York City near Christmas.

J.R. is unhappy with Jake about this and makes is clear that this will be a test of Jake's skills.
The two men haven't celebrated Christmas personally in years, since the death of Jake's mother and younger sister in a car accident on Christmas Eve.
Jake finds a new seasonal salesperson in his department and isn't sure of her suitability. She is an older woman and her name tag reads Mrs. Miracle, although she says that that is a mistake and her name is really Emily Merkle. But Jake finds that she may be more helpful to sales than he expected.
Meanwhile Holly Larson is struggling as she tries to fulfill her work obligations to fashion designer Lindy Lee, and serve as temporary caregiver to her 8-year-old nephew Gabe. When Holly and Jake meet in a Starbucks line-up, a connection is made and Mrs. Miracle helps things along.
