Sci-fi action meets steamy paranormal romance in Gini Koch's Alien novels, as Katherine "Kitty" Katt faces off against aliens, conspiracies, and deadly secrets. * "Futuristic high-jinks and gripping adventure." -- RT Reviews

Marketing manager Katherine "Kitty" Katt had just finished a day on jury duty. When she stepped out of the Pueblo Caliente courthouse, all she was thinking about was the work she had to get caught up on. Then her attention was caught by a fight between a couple that looked like it was about to turn ugly.

But ugly didn't even begin to cover it when the "man" suddenly transformed into a huge, winged monster right out of a grade Z science fiction movie and went on a deadly killing spree. In hindsight, Kitty realized she probably should have panicked and run screaming the way everyone around her was doing. Instead she sprinted into action to take down the alien.

In the middle of all the screeching and the ensuing chaos, a hunk in an Armani suit suddenly appeared beside her, introduced himself as Jeff Martini with "the agency," and then insisted on leading her to a nearby limo to talk to his "boss." And that was how Kitty's new life among the aliens began...

Touched by an Alien is the thrilling first installment of the Alien novels.

I couldn't finish it.

At first I couldn't put it down; it was quite exciting. Then they started talking religion and I completely lost interest in all the babble... I never went back to it.

Ridiculous. And very pedestrian.

A cross between your regular sci-fi and a romance novel. Or at least what I think a romance novel must be like since I've never actually read one.

I tried, but it's just too much like a conveniently know-all main character. Also, plot goes nowhere, & words written just to fill the page.

Fun, fast paced, romantic, kick ass adventure.

One of the better books out there because snarky female protagonist by snarky female author, not middle age fantasy, & mocked science fiction/comic book tropes. Nice comment on the ex-top male model feel so ordinary compared to the hot male (field agents) & female (scientists) aliens. Oh, sure characters slightly over the top, but heroine calm & collected. At least, she gets better, there will be alien female agents, odd male scientist (see book #2 sequel) & don't subcontract actual writing like James Patterson. James Patterson may make WAY more money, but he won't get the lasting respect. I liked the "chick flick" book even though I'm a guy.

Was funny in places but just too sophomoric

As the title implies, this is a tongue-in-cheek, fast-paced, monster-killing romp. Kitty has just come out of jury duty when an enraged husband yelling at his wife turns into a dart shooting monster. What’s a girl to do other than take out your Mont Blanc pen and stab it? A crazy day turns into several when she discovers that aliens exist and that they are on Earth to protect the people from crazy monsters! I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the sequel. Staff Picks October 2010.

This book is a surprisingly good read. Dorky title but has some interesting twists and turns with a woman who shows what brave is.

Hilarious science fiction/romance hybrid with a touch of grrrl power oomph. Katt, a mid-level marketing exec, finds herself covered in slime after an unexpected encounter with an enraged alien in a downtown parking lot. Intercepted by a mysterious team of gray suited "operatives", including the hunky Jeff Martini and his sardonic cousin Christopher, Katt is swept up in a top secret battle to protect Earth from a an invasion of murderous aliens who feed off human rage. Nothing and no one is exactly as they seem, including Kat's own parents, who turn out to be far more than the mild mannered college professor and "consultant" she thought they were. A highly enjoyable read, for fans of either genre! Sequels are _Alien Tango_, and _Alien in the Family_.

Suddenly, I can see you weren’t bragging – once you go alien, you really do never go back

I had fifteen shots, it had a lot of malevolence. Evenly matched.
