Who knew the end of the world could be so entertaining? With humor and an unlikely cast of characters, this book is one of those that I just couldn't put down.

The voices used in the audio version are fantastic, but the use of voice throughout the book is one of the things that makes it so unique. The pairing of an angel and demon versus the Antichrist creates an interesting dynamic, and neither narrative is what you'd expect it to be. In many ways, it felt like a story from the show Supernatural - a fun ride that keeps you wanting to come back.

Loved the narration and was cracking up throughout the story. Great satire and easy listen. Highly recommend to Neil Gaiman and Pratchett fans.

Funny, somewhat irreverent, cleverly written book about the machinations between the forces of good and evil prior to the end of the world. The reader for the audiobook is very good too!

Not overly impressed with this one, though the vocal talent is rather lovely. It is an easy listen but I find it a little predictable and frustratingly teasing with an end that never seems to come.

It does have that charming wit to it that Pratchett and Gaiman tend to have.

It's weird - given how much I love Gaiman and Pratchett's solo works - that I didn't like this book more. It's certainly funny, I'll give it that, but overall, there just isn't much to it. This wouldn't be a problem, except the story's trying to be deeper than it really is. Still, a decent read.

I'm much more a fan of Pratchett than Gaiman (though he did pen 1 of my all-time favorite Doctor Who episodes --«The Doctor's Wife» series 6).
Having said that, I must say it's not Pratchett's best, but seems more heavily influence of Gaiman anyway.
Story has the same irreverent humor stylizations of famous English works like Monty Python, but falls short of the cerebral humor I've come to expect from Pratchett.
Character development is good, with consistant interaction between characters in humorous ways.
Probably not a good choice for those who take religious beliefs seriously as the story repeatedly pokes fun and, at times, heavily mocks views of religions of many beliefs - though Christian institutions, present and past, seem to be the favored targets (unsurprising given setting of story).
Hilarious repeated references to pop culture's «common knowledge» being based on iconic movies and indescriminate discernment of reliability of sources rather than actual knowledge of subject matter. (I'm unsure whether this is meant to be a rebuke to societal illiteracy and seeming lack of critical thinking skills, but serves as one nonetheless.)

The narrator of this audio book is superb. The characters voices are unique and well-defined, and the narrator is pitch-perfect for Gaiman and Pratchett's brand of humor and satire. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you enjoy Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett, well, you've probably already read this book and my review means nothing really.

It is hilarious and one of the best fantasy novels out there. Fans can attest to that fact and will with much jubilation. I decided to review the audiobook because I found it much funnier being read than reading it.

CAUTION: Parts of it are so funny, you'll pretty much crack up wherever you happen to be. If it's in public, you may look a bit crazy, so maybe just in the car. If you car has tinted windows...
