After 9/11, after Katrina, Enron and Baghdad, the robustness of American optimism is struggling to reassert itself against the sobering reality of military frustration and domestic anxieties. This is an America grappling with an un-American sense of its own limits. Turning to fascinating moments in American history to understand the present, connecting legendary presences such as Thomas Jefferson, Henry Ford, and others with contemporary soldiers, businessmen, truckers and politicians. The United States, past and present, facing its moment of truth.

Taking this film apart and throwing the words communist around to disclaim and discredit. But you have no counter argument. Vilifying people whose lands have been stolen from them. "But they don't speak English." You should reframe your negative comments and study to see who occupied and lived in south Texas before it was violently taken from them. Or perhaps you think bush and Cheney et al are great humanitarians and only care about world peace. Obama sold out millions who voted for him to bring change. Of course years have passed now since the making of this film. Only proving its validity and that the past repeats itself, over and over.
Unfettered capitalism and greed of a few over the many
Exploiting anything and everything.
And the shills/trolls come out decrying "the commies are coming " fearful that some argument may turn the tide.
