This is the sequel to Jeff Carlson's "Plague Year". It is a good fun read for those liking disaster or post apocalyptic fiction. A very interesting premise that out of control nano-technology has sterilized all lands bellow 10,000 feet elevation on earth. The first book (Plague Year) I found more interesting as it is a combination of survival and civilization figuring out what comes next. This one is more geo-political based with a world war. Therefore, the character development isn't as strong. Still, I'm looking forward to reading the third book in the series (Plague Zone).
