Turaqistan is a country occupied by an American private corporation run by a former U.S. vice-president. In an effort to monopolize the opportunities the war-torn nation offers, the corporation's CEO hires a troubled hit man to kill a Middle East oil minister. Now, struggling with his own growning demons, the assassin must pose as the corporation's Trade Show producer in order to pull off his current hit. He has to do all this while maintaining his cover by organizing the high-profile wedding of Yonica Babyyeah, an outrageous Middle Eastern pop star, and keeping a sexy left wing reporter in check.

Same tired Liberal BS. Same ridiculous script and premise.
Plus, NOT funny. And as an extra added bonus, Vulgar & Disgusting. Not even Joan Cusack (always excellent) can save this. Also trying to play off the "Grosse Pointe Blank" chemistry & success, but doesn't even come close.
Shot in 2007, distributed in 2008, just BEFORE "Osama" was in the White House. It's heavy handed "message" of us in Iraq is the only thing laughable, if it weren't so sad. We now see how well our pulling out was. (See ISIS.)

The back of the dvd cover read like this was a comedy/parody/satire, but sadly this is not what you are getting with this film. Poorly acted and a bad storyline make this movie dull and not worth wasting one's time watching. I strongly do not recommend this movie.

I didn't laugh at this, never mind with this once. The highlight of this turd is the unbelievably violent action set pieces.DEPOPULATION of the narcissistic and arrogant characters never gets old to me,but when any movie is terrible like this one even that can't save it period.

Cusack tries to illustrate the America’s hypocrisy and how business’ have influenced and foreign policy and decision making. The emotional punched is lessened by limiting this film to being a spoof comedy. Set in this “near future” where corporations can take over countries, Cusack skirts direct finger pointing. By trying to juggle both political satire and action/comedy romance fails to make an impact in either field. Other movies are more adept at making fun of politics in an insightful manner. If not already seen, Cusack’s Gorsse Pointe Blank is a much wittier blend of comedy and action with a touch of romance. Cusack should also get some points for effort on trying to comment on the sexualizing of young female singers like Duff and Miley Cyrus.

Skip It - War, Inc. (2008) 107 min. with John Cusack, Joan Cusack, Marisa Tomei, and Hilary Duff. This is obviously a satirical look at the war in Iraq. The trouble I had with this picture was that it was so “out there” in terms of anything recognizable that it was difficult to be engrossed in the picture. Every character is strange in this film; I kept repeating to myself how weird everything was. It kind of reminded me of a Monty Python picture but without the laughs. The problem with satirical films is that they are difficult to execute and only the masters could pull it off. With this picture, you either love it or hate it – I’m one of those folks that just couldn’t get into this picture. Maybe you’ll have better luck. Hilary Duff plays someone completely out of character from her Disney days; spewing profanities and sexual innuendos (Hilary grew up or is it down for this film?)….
