Could not finish this book. I tried twice. I really did not like the organization of it, how it jumped between points of view of 4 sisters. That was too excessive for me. And frankly, the beginning was so boring I couldn't push through.

Box of tissue needed. Takes place in London, England early 90s where you meet lady with four daughters who are all different, but connected to a mother who loves them dearly. She has passed on and left them each a letter, plus a copy of her journal of her thoughts and stories of her past. Life unravels for them all, in one way or another, but them come together to keep the family unit as one regardless of the circumstances of each of their lives. Enjoyed.

well written the book is about a mom who dies and leaves letters for her daughters and the events that happen after her death and how it shapes her family. some of the events are happy and others were sad, but all in all the book was great. It made me see how lives are shaped by death and how the living are affected. I really recommend this book to all, but with a side note don't wait until ur dying to make amends to say u love someone do it know. even though the daughters were ranging in age from 30 to 15 the book lets you see how death affects everyone differently. worth the read.

ok read, kind of annoying in parts, you should know this is "England/London" language, so there are lots of "bloody", "blimey", "cheeky", "cuppa", etc........

Sappy and sentimental but an ok book to blob out with.

I never had any sisters and if I did I imagine the relationships described in the book as plausible - easy to read - something I can see myself doing to my kids given the chance....
