"We're losing him." With those words, Mike and Tia Baye decide to spy on their sixteen-year-old son Adam, who has become increasingly moody and withdrawn since the suicide of his best friend. The software they install on his computer shows them every Web site visited, every e-mail sent or received, every instant message. And each keystroke draws them deeper and deeper into a maze of mayhem and violence that could destroy them all...

Super boring, not worth the read. Can't believe I wasted nearly 600 pages on this, even if they were large-print pages. Genuinely wish all the main characters had died because they were all so flat and boring and unbelievable. Completed 2/10/18.

A brilliant suspense novel that shocks you to the end. The best read of H. Coben so far.

A not bad beach read

This is Coben at his best. Fast paced with plenty of action. It keeps you on the edge of your seat till (really) the last few pages. A real page turner that you cannot put down. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed the many different plots that were all overlapping to create a story so full of twists and turns. A very engaging read!

A bit contrived to bring so many intense situations together at one time, in one neighborhood (essentially) -- however, the issues examined are well worth it and the characters and their motivations were entirely believable. Timely and worth reading.

I have to confess that I don''t usually read this kind of novel, but when it was recommended to me so highly, I thought I should read it. And what a read! Twists of plot, engaging characters, and a break-neck speed all add up to one of the best books I have read in a while. The Baye family is shocked when one of their son''s friends is murdered and their son, Adam, is a suspect. What they find out is that they while they may be driving Adam to everything and checking out his parties, they don''t really know him that well at all. And what they don''t know about him is what could get him killed as well. Absolutely un-put-downable!

convoluted storyline; intriguing nonetheless

Fast-paced suspense/thriller that keeps the pages flying by. Easy enough for the likes of Harlan Coben, but for me, it is the ending of a story of this ilk that leaves a lasting impression on me and this story began its collapse with about 100 pages to go as the various parallel story lines began to connect. Too tidy for my tastes. Almost as if he got sick of the story and began forcing the issue.
