Like many of the Agatha Christie mystery plots, this one is purposely overly complicated; too many characters and unnecessary red herrings. Contrast this to AC Doyle, who's Sherlock Holmes stories are the art of the efficient while still remaining difficult puzzles. But if one can ignore Christie's plot- and character-circumlocution, then this story is a pretty good mystery, and can be mostly solved by a listener using common-sense logic if the clues provided are carefully observed. Synergistic w/PBS Masterpiece Theatre's "Poirot" of the same title, watching the DVD and listening to this audio book in parallel yields a better media experience than either alone. Recommended.
