After reading this story for the first time to my four children ages 12-6 years, we all fell in love with it! The children were completely spell bound during the story. Even my 7th grader (who has read all Tolkein's Lord of the Ring series) was entranced. Throughout the rest of the Christmas season, my 1st grader was so excited whenever she saw poinsettias. "Remember the story about the girl who gave from her heart?!" A beautiful lesson for a child to associate with a beautiful plant.
