Finally, a book that addresses your concerns about DID

From Eve to Sybil to Truddi Chase, the media have long chronicled the lives of people with dissociative identity disorder (DID), formerly known as multiple personality disorder. The Dissociative Identity Disorder Sourcebook serves as a much-needed bridge for communication between the dissociative individual and therapists, family, and friends who also have to learn to deal with the effects of this truly astonishing disorder.

This is one of the best resources on DID. This disorder is so misunderstood and sensationalized in movies/TV that resources like this one are much appreciated.

This book is amazing. My boyfriend has DID, and while I didn't learn much new information on how to live with it. I was able to learn so much about how the process of DID works, and manifests itself. There is a lot of information for someone who doesn't know how to mange things with someone with DID. From explaining dissociation, to safety plans. My boyfriend has read this book and he described it saying "I never thought someone would understand this disorder so much and so well." He has recommended it to his therapist and his mother who has trouble understanding the disorder.
