Heartbroken after a failed attempt to adopt a child, Patricia finds a way to nurture others after all, realizing that hooking up hair was the ultimate blessing and one of the easiest ways to make women feel better about themselves. Little does she know when she opens Blessings Hair Salon, how blessed she will be. To help her, she hires three women--Zuma, Faye, and Sandy--each struggling with tough personal conflicts and all searching for happiness. Jackson focuses on such important issues as female bonding, infertility, adoption, abortion, and the highs and lows of motherhood.
