Overall, the content in this book is remarkable and arranged in a very informative and systematic fashion. Each chapter is of the highest quality and very readable, and tackles its topic with precision and depth. This book is merely a primer, lacking some of the scholarly quality I would have liked, but this book functions as a very good introduction to the history of the Bible. The topics tackled vary from the quality and trustworthiness of the Greek and Hebrew manuscripts themselves, to canonization of the books, to how Greek and Hebrew differ from English, and to even the history of Bible translations in English and other languages. The only complaint I have, and it is a very minor one, is the articles sometimes repeat information. The information repeated throughout is always useful for the topic at hand, but makes the book less readable from cover-to-cover.

This is a very good introduction to what the Bible is, how we got the Bible, and whether the Bible is trustworthy (from a documentary standpoint, not a historical standpoint). We not only have reliable and trustworthy manuscripts of the Bible (both Old and New testaments), but we have ample scholarship available on those texts and how they have been transmitted throughout history. The history of the Bible is nearly as fascinating as the Bible itself!
